BF series: Strain gauges for composites
The BF foil strain gauges are developed for strain measurement on composite materials. Similar with UBF strain gauges, the BF gauges have specially designed grid pattern and newly developed gauge backing to deliver significant improvements in terms of reducing the stiffening effect and creep characteristics compared to conventional strain gauges. These gauges are self-temperature compensated for materials having thermal expansion coefficient of 3, 5 or 8 x 10-6/oC.
