The BPC4000 is an advanced educational equipment designed to study and compare the performance characteristics of four distinct industrial pumps; centrifugal, volumetric screw, piston, and turbine. This fluid dynamics training system enables students and engineers to understand flow curves, pressure characteristics, and pump efficiency across a range of operating conditions.
The pumps are housed on a robust stainless steel frame. It also features a 200L polyethylene tank, level sensors, multiple manometers (0–6 bar), and dual flowmeters for precise measurement. Each pump is independently operated via a variable-frequency drive, allowing users to plot characteristic curves, determine hydraulic and electrical efficiency, and observe how flow rate scales with speed.
Through structured experiments, users can identify operational faults, interpret manufacturer data, and determine optimal pump selections based on pressure loss, load conditions, and flow requirements. The BPC4000 is ideal for chemical and mechanical engineering curricula focused on pump technology, process control, and industrial hydraulics.
Delivered with a comprehensive educational handbook, the system supports onsite commissioning and instructor training. Custom configurations are available upon request.
