The Xi80 smart thermal camera combines the simplicity of a pyrometer with full thermal imaging capabilities, enabling non-contact temperature measurement from –20 °C to 900 °C. Its 80 × 80 pixel detector and distance-to-spot ratio of up to 190:1 allow accurate readings from long distances, capturing full thermal images and spatial temperature distributions rather than single points.
Using uncooled bolometer technology, the camera offers a compact, robust, and cost-effective design with no moving optical parts. Optional water cooling, air purges, and protective housings make it suitable for harsh environments, while multiple interfaces and mounting options support flexible integration.
The camera operates via USB or Ethernet but can run autonomously, with features like automatic hot-spot detection, analog outputs, and support for fieldbus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, RS-485, Profinet). Motorized focus allows remote adjustment, and 50 Hz frame rates make it suitable for monitoring fast processes. Advanced software functions, including line scanning, image merging, and radiometric analysis, are available through PIX Connect, with developer kits supporting custom integration.
Compact, reliable, and versatile, the Xi80 is ideal for fixed industrial monitoring, production, quality assurance, and research applications.
