TME3000 PIGNAT Anaerobic Digestion

The anaerobic digestion training equipment is designed for educational institutes to teach the students various stages of anaerobic digestion of a waste stream, such as mass balance in steady state, gas produced and pollution balance followed by oxygen chemical demand. It enables students to monitor the process for several weeks and observe the treatment of the substrate. It will allow students to test a variety of waste streams for biogas production capability and perform titrations to determine the amount of CO2 contained within a biogas sample. The teaching equipment will help students understand how pH affects the productivity of anaerobic bacteria and how multiple bacteria can live symbiotically within a system. The teaching equipment comprises a glass vessel, feeding tank, draw-off tank, storage tank, peristaltic pump and option of customization as per experimental needs.
