The HST45 Buckling of Struts training equipment is designed for educational institutes to investigate the deflection and load characteristics and buckling loads for different strut lengths, end and cross-section conditions. The training equipment can be mounted on the structure platform and connects easily to the data acquisition unit and software. It enables students to understand the nature of buckling by applying the buckling force, measuring the load and point at which the strut buckles (collapses).
The entire training equipment kit is available with tools and an instruction manual to perform the different laws of Euler’s theorem, Euler’s Buckling Load and Buckling Load against End conditions and Strut length.
Experimental capabilities:
- Euler's theory
- Varying end conditions against Euler's buckling load
- Varying strut length against Euler's buckling load
- Off-centre Strut loading
