The Xi 05M MeltScope is a short-wavelength thermal camera optimized for non-contact temperature measurement of hot, reflective materials like molten metals, steel, and ceramics. Its spectral range aligns with metals’ peak emissivity, reducing errors from reflections and improving measurement repeatability, while Planck’s law ensures reliable readings at high temperatures.
The camera features a 396 × 300 pixel detector covering 950 °C to 2450 °C without sub-range switching, a high distance-to-spot ratio, and a motorized focus for precise remote adjustments. Autonomous hot-spot detection enables continuous monitoring without additional hardware.
Designed for industrial use, the compact, waterproof camera supports fixed or mounted installations and integrates via Ethernet, USB, analog outputs, and fieldbus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, RS-485, Profinet). It operates at 20 Hz and can be enhanced with optional water-cooling or air purge systems for harsh environments, delivering accurate, stable, and reliable thermal measurements in demanding production settings.
