The Endevco 6237M70/M71 piezoelectric accelerometers are designed for vibration measurement in high temperature environment especially in aircraft and ground-based gas turbines. It can reliably operate at the temperature of as high as 650C under continuous operation. Due to their compact size and lightweight bodies, they can be installed in cramped locations requiring minimal structural support. The difference in the models 6237M70 and 6237M71 is in their internal designs and the built of sensitive axes. The sensitive axis in the 6237M70 model is aligned with the mounting screw, whereas in the 6237M71 model, it is mounted perpendicular to the mounting screw. The sensing elements and integral shield and the case are isolated from each other. An integral hardline cable 120 inches long is featured with this accelerometer.
