The EC-140H is a cutaway system based on Toyota Prius that is designed specially to demonstrate the operation of a typical hybrid drive train. It clearly visualizes all internal components of hybrid drive train systems such as internal combustion engine, torque damped assembly, motor, generator, planetary gear set, transaxle, inverter and non-functional high voltage battery. All the rotating components in the system are encased in plexiglass, making it safe platform for demonstration. Up to eight basic operational mode of a basic hybrid drive train system can be demonstrated.
