Color measurement of liquid paint

Determining the color of liquid paint is incredibly complex. Until now, we had to wait for the paint to dry before taking a measurement — a process that could take hours and lead to unreliable results. But not anymore, Micro-Epsilon has come up with the solution to measure the color of liquid paint with the help of a laser sensor and spectrometer. Keeping in mind the fact that both color measurement and distance measurement is required, a colorCONTROL ACS7000 color spectrometer and the optoNCDT 1420-50 laser triangulation sensor are used.

This system is known to provide high precision and repeatable measurement results. Another factor responsible for flawless measurement is the ACS circular sensor. This sensor enables the measurement regardless of the direction of view. Hence, opting for this system to measure the color of liquid paint during production results in acquiring highly precise data.
