The laser line sensor features an oval-shape laser spot with just a few mm in width. It is primarily designed to achieve stable measurement on shiny metals or micro-machined surfaces. With the oval shape laser spot, the laser line sensor is capable of filtering interference caused by surface roughness, defects, indentations and holes, which are typical features of micro-machined surface. This is combined with a special software algorithm for more precise measurement.
This oval shape laser spots also enable precise and stable measurement when used to measure distance and displacement on structured surfaces. The laser line sensor can provide stable, continuous measurement values as it is not affected by the surface structures.
