Data Logger

Data loggers are electronic devices that monitor and record environmental parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, vibration overtime automatically. They allow a user to measure the conditions, document them, and then further analyze and validate the parameters. A data logger is incorporated with a sensor that receives the information. The information stored in the data logger is transferred to a computer for further analysis. A data logger is chosen in instances when the application requires extended recording times rather than high-speed recording.

Data loggers can be used for a multitude of industrial applications such as:

  • Monitoring power usage, ventilation, heating systems in facilities and buildings.
  • The measurement of humidity and temperature in the logistics industry during storage and transportation of goods.
  • In the manufacturing industry for process or energy management.
  • In the healthcare industry during the sterilization process, transportation of vaccines, medical equipment, etc.
  • Environmental research of weather patterns, wildlife habitats
  • In the horticulture industry for livestock rearing.
